System Overview
The 2GIG GoControl Wireless Security System provides burglary, fire, and emergency protection. It uses wireless sensors, a central touchscreen panel, and can connect to a monitoring station via phone or cellular service.
It also supports Z-Wave home automation, allowing you to control smart devices directly from the panel or remotely.
Basic Operation
Arming the System
- Stay Mode: Arms perimeter sensors only (doors/windows) while you’re home.
- Away Mode: Arms both perimeter and interior sensors when leaving.
- Both modes include Exit Delays and Entry Delays to avoid false alarms.
Disarming
Press DISARM on the touchscreen and enter your user code. If enabled, a key fob can also disarm without a code.
Emergency Buttons
The panel can be configured with PANIC, FIRE, and EMERGENCY buttons. Press and hold for 2 seconds to trigger an alarm.
Panel Features
- Color touchscreen for arming, disarming, and settings.
- Voice prompts and chimes to identify events (e.g., “Front Door”).
- Siren with battery backup.

Maintenance
- Replace the special console battery pack (2600mAh Ni-MH) when needed.
- Test the system weekly: sensors, sirens, phone/cellular connection.
- Clean the touchscreen with a soft dry cloth (use screen lock mode while cleaning).
- Update time/date and user codes via the Toolbox menu.
